I've recently had a flood of emails using substack as their domain address. All quite obviously scammers, so spent a lot of time blocking and deleting. Maybe this is something for Substack to address?
This has been happening to me, as well! Interestingly they’re all coming as a recommendation from an account that I’m now equally suspecting is a fake. And heeeeere we go! 🤪
Nancy, this seems to be going around. I too have had dozens of new subscribers flooding my list over the past week. The email addresses are all variations of one another, too.
Kim, the email addresses I had were all gmail.com and they all came from recommendations from accounts that I know and like—and have recommended. I hate to think Substack might fall victim to the constant scams of the internet.
I don't think I deleted you, Esther. I plan to start posting again early next week so if you don't see something from me, let me know.
Reunion was just fantastic--gorgeous weather and Wellesley's campus was more beautiful than ever. So many old (and new) friends, and did you know that we made Paula Johnson an honorary member of our class--because she was born in 1959? She was thrilled and was our guest speaker at the Saturday banquet, such a gracious, well informed, dedicated, and funny lady (I always warm to people who are hugely accomplished and funny to boot). We missed you, and so many others, but we're now gearing up for our 70th. Meanwhile, one of the most positive things that came out for the class of 59 was the decision to have an annual all-class meeting over Zoom. The meeting a few weeks ago was such a success that we think it should be repeated annually. Also because, as we age, we tend to lose a lot of people over a five-year period--it's too long to wait!
It was great to hear from you, Esther. Do stay in touch!
Please keep me subscribed.
Keep me subscribed.

Absolutely, Amy. Thanks!
I've had this too. To take a step further they contacted me through substance. Been deleting almost every day

That is exactly how it's played out for me as well.
I want to stay subscribed. 🤗. Did you enjoy reunion? I thought of all of you….
