Oh, yes, to the pie! I couldn't resist and made myself three pumpkin pies to share and nibble on as friends came over this weekend. Happy New England Thanksgiving, Nancy!

Merci, Kate, et bonne jour de merci-donnant a toi! I added roasted sesame oil and a hint of vanilla to my pumpkin pie filling. It made a big difference!

I used some tonka beans and creme fraiche, as well as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. I can't wait to try it!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. As always this meal is the only time when we have a meal with turkey and pumpkin pie. It's fine to have them to look forward to but no need to do it more than once a year.
