Oh, yes, to the pie! I couldn't resist and made myself three pumpkin pies to share and nibble on as friends came over this weekend. Happy New England Thanksgiving, Nancy!
Merci, Kate, et bonne jour de merci-donnant a toi! I added roasted sesame oil and a hint of vanilla to my pumpkin pie filling. It made a big difference!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. As always this meal is the only time when we have a meal with turkey and pumpkin pie. It's fine to have them to look forward to but no need to do it more than once a year.

I used some tonka beans and creme fraiche, as well as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. I can't wait to try it!
Happy Thanksgiving Nancy! And absolutely, yes to the pie! Cheers to you!

Once a year is fine with me too, Peter, but this year as it happened it was coq au vin. I'm so glad it's all over now.
We had Key Lime Pie. Also good.
I give thanks for you, Nancy!
I love it for breakfast!
Amen. Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy!
Altrettanto, Domenica!
Damn! Have a huge extra piece for me and my brother
Indeed, happy to do so!
The cranberry sauce is delicious!
What a wonderful post and just the right length for all the crazed cooks out there today!! Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy!
And to you too, Paula, and all your family.
A stunning perspective. Food and tools and conversation. I am thankful!
Me too, Cecilia!
Says it all, really. Well posted, maestra!
