Nancy, loved your lengthy round up of where to go, where to eat on the Maine coast! I did think you gave Stonington ME (where I live!) a bit of a short shrift, however; it has the most beautiful harbor, with houses climbing the hill overlooking it. For lunch, try Stonington Food Co. on Main St (the best lobster roll); for din, try 27 Fathoms on Main St. Steer clear of Cry Babies!! For remarkably good food, go up island to the Whale’s Rib in Deer Isle Village. And of course Aragosta for “fine dining.” Where are you?? Let’s get together.
